  The villa was nicely decorated and clean, but there was an ant problem. I did not report this to the office because I think the entire campground was struggling with ants.
  
  My biggest complaint was the morning we were scheduled to leave everything was going wrong. The property management office called me at 10:05am and inquired why we had not dropped off the key yet. I tried to explain that we were having a problem with our tie down on our vehicle and we were out of the house but couldn't drive our car at the moment due to the problem we were having. She would not even let me explain but instead talked over me and stated if you do not get the keys to the office in the next few minutes, she would have to charge for an extra day and hung up the phone. This added so much more stress that we ended up locking the keys to the unit and our vehicle in the house. I called property management office back to let them know that we locked ourselves out of the unit and needed someone to bring a key to let us in so we could get the house keys and our car key, she didn't even listen to what I was saying and said I had five minutes to get the key to the office or she was charging me an extra day. I explained that I could not do that because the keys are locked in the house with my car key. She then sent someone to open the house back up.
  
  I understand there are rules about checking out, we have camped at Lakewood since 2004, and we always leave at least an hour before the designated checkout time, but sometimes people have bad days. We were out of the house, we were not stopping housekeeping from doing their job to flip the house for the next guests, but this person showed very little compassion to someone who was obviously struggling. When I finally did get the key back to the office and I thanked her for sending someone to open the house. I tried explaining why we were late and her response was start packing earlier. I was packed the day before.

  Place was nice! Is in a very good location. Quiet
  The only 2 things that I will consider for next time is I saw some roaches around and the freezer was not making ice.
  Ice is a really big deal for me. Since is summer and we bought a lot of ice to maintain our coolers for 8 days.
