  This was our second time renting 8040 Seascape. It is very comfortable for 2 couples. Was disappointed that shelves for refrigerator door had not been replaced. Makes for difficult use of fridge space. We also brought are own powered sweeper since only a broom is available. We purchased bath mats for safety. (not included in linen package). The unit was cleaner than the previous year. I feel the owners would be disappointed with the overall condition. We did find food and candy wrappers behind the loveseat. We were happy to have less palmetto visits! Sharper knives and scissors would be appreciated.The outdoor cushions were very soiled and mildewed. I realize this review contains negative comments which we hope will be beneficial to the management. That said we have booked again for next September! Will bring our needed items with us! Also thank you for a quiet dryer! The LCR staff was very helpful in retrieving my personal blender. Several of the bath towels were very frayed, and we only had one kitchen towel. We purchased our own; we probably just should have called office!

  Wonderful place on the corner lot with a view of the lake. Very clean and loved the covered porch. We would definitely stay here again.

  We were impressed with the amount of storage in the home and the cleanliness when we arrived. We continually commented through the week how much we loved everything about the home. I loved sitting on the porch and listening to the wind chimes while watching the geese and ducks on the bay. It was truly a wonderful experience for all of us.

  Satisfied with the unit, it needed some deep cleaning, my husband took care of that. We’ve stayed in this unit before, please tell owner to replace that futon, it’s a disgrace. Not comfortable to sit on and I would not dare sleep on it. Otherwise we were very pleased. They also might want to look at the condition of some of the steps and some of the boards from the steps to the door, some look like they may need replacing. Your office crew are excellent, I’d give them a raise. They are the nicest, kindest ladies I’ve ever dealt with. Polly Cooper

  Overall we enjoyed our stay and all amenities provided by Lakewood. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Thankful we read a review mentioning the lack of hangers; there are no hangers. Kitchen is minimally equipped. You'll need dish soap, paper towel, zip lock bags, garbage bags, foil and food wrap. We will be bringing sharp knives, food containers and cheese slicer for our next stay. Additionally you"ll need toilet paper. tissues, bath soap and a bath mat since floors are very slippery when wet. An electric sweeper would be appreciated. Only a broom is provided. All air vents were very dirty including large air return. Baseboards and corners really need thoroughly cleaned. We had many palmetto bugs! They were even in the bedroom drawers and on the kitchen counter!! We have booked this unit for next year and sincerely hope the owners will address these issues. The deck box had been forced open and all contents were dirty and molded. This was reported to the rental office.

  We enjoyed our stay very much. There was a lot of options for things to do on site. Plus off site everything was very close as well, we enjoyed Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, Medieval Times, the beach was easily accessible. We loved the golf cart rental (the cost was a bit high, but getting around with it was necessary). The rental unit was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

  This was my first time staying at a house in Lakewood. I'm going to divide my review into the house and the amenities. Most of the time, I stay at Airbnb houses.
  
  First, the house was very nice. We picked it because my wife's uncle, who is 89, was with us, and he is not good with stairs. The house had a handrail on both sides, so it was easy for him to get up and down.
  
  The beds were comfy, the house furnishings were nice, and the house was very clean. LCR Service people are very quick to respond also. When we arrived, one of the dinning room chairs was broken. They picked it up within the hour and had it back in two.
  
  Coming from Airbnb houses, the accessory items that are at every Airbnb I have stayed at were missing: trash bags, paper towels, hangers for clothing, basic spices, and dish wash detergent, just to name a few.
  
  It was not a big deal; if I had read what came with the house, I would have been more prepared. We had our RV there also, so we borrowed what we needed from it.
  
  Would we stay again, yes, it is a beautiful house, just bring your own clothes hangers.

  The unit was very spacious including the front porch area but we didn’t get a chance to really enjoy because there were multiple wasp nest around the outside of the Villa and a couple of severe thunderstorms during our stay. But maintenance was quick to come and address the issue. The drainage for the shower in the main bath was really slow.

  This home was everything we needed. Plenty of seating and the beds were very comfortable. We were a distance from everything but a short golf cart ride and thankfully we were able to get a cart the next day. We locked ourselves out and had to wait a while for maintenance to let us back in, we each thought the other had the key! But otherwise all was good!
