  The stay was good as usual at Lakewood. Other than not being able to use the bedroom television because it inexplicably fell off the wall, the house was clean and well stocked. The deck and deck furniture were really nice and we enjoyed sitting outside with the lake only feet away. We would choose this place again. Also, a negative, were some of the amenities. There were practically no functioning bicycles, the mini golf could use an upgrade, and the place seemed to be short staffed causing them to close the creamery and snack shop by the pool

  We stayed in this unit in July 2020. First, the ladies running the rental office were extremely efficient, friendly and generally speaking had the process down to a science. They were great. The unit was clean and provided everything that it describes. We really enjoyed the deck facing out to the lake. That was one of our favorite things that we had not counted on. We placed a Coleman canopy over the deck which fit perfectly, to give shade from the hot July sun which worked great. There was no carpet which is plus to us. Much better having no carpet in these units. The carpet in the older units just did not seem clean. It would be impossible to keep it so with the environment and the wet and sand coming in and out all the time. The unit washer and dryer came in extremely handy as well. We had not had that before and did not realize how useful that would be. And, this seems trivial, but in several helpful places there were small hook boards in key places to hang stuff on such as keys, hats, sunglasses, etc. Strangely, that was extremely helpful in keeping things organized for the week. Finally, it was a walk shower which we liked. It was not a cramped space. If you want a tub this unit does not have one but the large shower was much better than having the smaller tub/shower combo that many units have. We will book this unit again in the future.

  I was very surprised at how well this trip and the resort overall turned out. My family was a total of 5, including mom, dad, and three teenagers. We used the pullout couch and inflatable mattress in living room for the girls. The teenage boy took the small bedroom with the half bath. It worked out good but having the two girls in the living room meant there was only the dining room to gather in and sit around the table. Anyone reading this in similar situation might want to upgrade to three bedrooms....
  
  The 2880 Crater Lake property was spotless when we checked into it. The only negative was the outside furniture on the deck had broken legs and was unusable. We called into the office to report it right away but nothing was ever done to fix it. The house has a hose for rinsing off sand from the beach which was nice!
  
  The golf cart rental is a necessity to get around the resort. Rental people were extremely nice and friendly.
  
  The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more...blender, cutting boards, wine opener, etc.

  The Villa 2880 was great again. The weather was great. The only issue was at the check-in. I think some of the agents were a little rude. I’ve been coming to this campground for 30 years and I’ve never experienced that before. My whole family has brought motorhomes and trailers and rented villas for 30 years there. We even kept our trailer in storage at one time. I had to call and report that one of the chairs on the deck had a broken leg which was like that when we checked in. the maintenance team came and took it right away. Kudos.
