  The check in process was very easy. The two women that worked the front counter were very nice and explained everything. They answered all my questions. The rental was easy to locate and clean inside. There were lots of leaves on the porch but totally expected with overhead trees. The inside of the rental was dated which we knew when we booked, so not a surprise. There was a slight smell to the refrigerator but we mainly used it for drinks. The chair and sofa also had a slight smell but since it was pet friendly we figured that was the reason. Overall we were satisfied and would book this rental again.

  I been in the same spot for three years and this time I was a little unhappy. The table was broke so my husband had to fix it. and under the refrigerator that vent / filter was so dirty .I had to clean it off with a broom .The stuff that came off was so thick . The main bedroom behind the bed It was really dirty I cleaned before I made the beds .I feel it wasn’t very clean .first year I complained . I do feel it needs a good cleaning and maybe maintenance . When we stay some where we take care of it like it are home

  This was our first time staying in this rental property. It was a nice rental unit. It is a small unit but it worked perfect for my family. Also it was great that it is pet friendly.We loved the porch and the shade trees. Great location in the campground. We will for sure stay here again.

  We love Lakewood Camping Resort! We have been at other resorts and Lakewood is our favorite. Our rental unit was very comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed the property very much. The resort is well kept up and very beautiful to walk through with its lakes and grounds. Everyone was friendly and helpful!

  The park was great fun and lots to do staff was friendly .I would have to say the cleaning people that cleans the rental could do better my refrigerator smelled so bad I had to scrub it to use it and the shower and the sink and toilet I had to clean it It had someone else hair and the toilet was not cleaned I do recommend more bench around the camp area like buy the lakes . And where the turtles are So people can sit and enjoy the views

  We and three of our children and their children rented 4 separate Lakewood places. One tent camped and two rented different trailers which were moved onto camping sites. This unit, 5035, became the hangout because it was bigger, had a kitchen and a lot of outdoor space and seating. We rented it because we have a small dog. Only thing I would change is to clear out all of the tree limbs and leaves on the ground, which was a major breeding place for flies and other bugs.

  Rental property was very nice. The front railing was loose and moved if you leaned on it. Also I was sitting at the front of the porch and a storm moved in I went into the unit at that point. I heard a banging and thought someone had hit my car or the golf cart. When I went out to check it out there were three fairly large branches that had fallen from the tree in the front of the property right where I had been sitting. Had I not moved I would have been hit. These two minor things were the only negatives about our trip to Lakewood!

  We spent two weeks in a rental property and always have an enjoyable time. The specific property we were in is an older home but it is well-maintained.   We were stranded on our way home from our stay at Lakewood with our RV. We were able to snag this property to stay in while we were figuring out how to get home. It was very clean, all the linens were provided, having the washer and dryer in the shed outside was key for our family. The TV worked well with tons of channels, and was enjoyed by our children immensely. It was small but cozy, and honestly just what we needed. The water pressure was fantastic. LCR and everyone we encountered there were so kind, and so helpful during a pretty stressful week. They really did everything they could for us. Again, it was very small, but had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay, with everything we needed. The outside deck was very nice; with a nice table and chairs for 6 people. There are trees everywhere, literally part of the deck, which was unique and very nice for shade. Lakewood itself is fantastic, and we love it there. Lazers pizza, just down the street, is our favorite pizza place there, and the new China King by the Food Lion toward Myrtle Beach was our favorite Chinese restaurant. We also love just going to the coffee shop right there on the property.

  It was a very good stay. The inside of the property was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The 2nd bedroom could have been cooler didn't seem as though it was as cool the rest of the villa. One other minor inconvenience is the outdoor electrical outlet for the golf cart in front of the property is a tad hard to get too. Especially old lady to get down on her knees to plug in the cord. Love the convenience of the washer and dryer in the outside shed.

  The place was nice and clean. I just wish the bathroom and 2nd bedroom setup was better. If the person staying in the bedroom that was attached to the bedroom needed to get out while someone was taking a shower they had to wait unless we left the door unlocked between the 2 bedrooms which left less privacy for the person in the other bedroom. Not a good setup when your teen son takes a friend. Everything else was nice though.

  Our stay at LCR was enjoyable. We were happy to be able to rent a property while our other family members could bring their camper. The property that we rented had some issues but none that would prevent us from renting it again. It was not level and the master bedroom light switch was in the other bedroom. Having a washer and dryer was awesome, being in the shed outside was a little different. There are many amenities and the family environment is great but very crowded when we went.
