  This was a cute little place. 2 bedroom-2 full baths, dining room, living room, and very small kitchen. This place is not perfect with a few areas needing attention (bathroom doors, toilet paper holder, blinds on sliding glass door) but it was perfect for us. Be careful of the step down into the living room from the dining room-that little lip will get your toes 😊. Overall great week for us!

  We really love Lakewood and have stayed in the LCR rentals multiple times. This unit is a little less updated than others but still nice. The location in respect to beach is great! The parking is a little difficult being on the corner.

  We enjoyed our stay in LCR rental 2723. It was about a 3 minute walk from the beach. We like visiting the Trading Post almost every day for icecream. They also make a great chef salad. Great family atmosphere.

  Nice, clean villa. All linens and towels supplied. Having read previous reviews, we brought a mattress topper for the bed we used and it worked nicely. Freezer never really kept ice cream solid, but it froze the ice cubes after 48 hours. We had a couple of maintenance issues during our stay and Maurice was there in a jiffy to fix things. Stayed for a month. October is hoppin' at Lakewood! Love the location and short walk to the ocean. Will be back again.

  Our Fall getaway to Myrtle Beach was just what we needed. Weather was perfect. Location of property couldn’t have been any better. A nice walk to the ocean. The community is friendly and slow-paced. The site we stayed in was decent. Everything you would need. Big Negative - Beds are HORRIBLE. Property does need a few minor things addressed. We would stay here again - but bringing an air mattress!!

  This villa is in a good location not far from the beach. It was clean and had all the amenities needed. It did need some things fixed like the blind in the kitchen and a couple of blinds in the living room had slats broken too. The grass was not cut and also an outside light would be a great addition. Overall we had a great vacation.

  Overall experience was good and we enjoyed staying in this unit. Could use a little more attention to detail. Such as, cutlery sets were child size, refrigerator and microwave were smaller than expected and water hose sits on rotted wood pallet. Need to add a few hooks on the wall to hang keys, etc.
  We have been staying at Lakewood for many years and I have 2 requests for the resort. 1. Please improve the miniature golf course. It’s in serious disrepair. You don’t even clean it. 2. Get a handle on late night party golf carts. We still had them coming by our villa some nights as late as 11:30-11:45 with excessively loud music.

  Very nice, updated and roomy home. The pictures did not do justice as to how spacious the house was overall. One bathroom had shower stall, and the other had a small tub shower - was very nice having one of each. Most furniture, amenities and small deck with seating were nice. Location was great - very easy walk to the beach. My only complaint would be that the lot wasn't mowed well before we checked in. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

  My family loved staying at Lakewood Campground this summer. The beach access, water park, and golf cart parades made our trip! We were also able to fish, play putt-putt, and enjoy the entire campground. This particular rental needs a few upgrades. The blue recliner is broken. Not able to sit in it at all. There needs to be more pots and pans that are non-stick. There was not a pan big enough to cook bacon in and the only pan we had was a stick pan (not a good outcome). The floors were very slick in this unit too. We had to sweep daily (sand), but it seems that maybe they haven't been mopped in a long time which combined with sand made it very slick. Also, the golf cart rental was closing at 5:00 on Saturday, but yet the rental agency didn't let us check in until 4:00. We arrived early to hopefully check in early, but were not allowed to. The line was very long at 4:00 (because they didn't let anyone check in early). This made getting a golf cart very hard. The lady at the golf cart place came out and tried to cut the line off after some of us had been in line for 20 + minutes, after many complaints, she agreed to take a few of us that stuck around, but had many people highly upset. If they will not allow check in until 4, then they should at least stay open until 6 for golf cart rentals. Also, they should advise people to bring their own blankets. There were no blankets on the beds or in the entire place.
  The location was great. We loved that the park allowed "fun" until 11:00 and then after that, they enforced "quiet time" which made sleeping possible. We definitely plan to visit this campground again, but may look for a different unit to stay in. Also, Kudos to the maintenance department. I called to advise them that the coffee pot in the unit had a large hole in it the first morning we were there. While we were gone to the beach, they delivered a brand new one and removed the broken one. Overall, we were pleased and had a great time.

  The rental was very nice and clean. Guest room, mattress needs to replaced, washer was leaking. Our room has the switch keeping turn off, Grass needs mowing. Shower curtain in the back needs to be cleaned. Glass door needs to be fixed.
