  The villas deck is in need of repair. I like to sit outside on deck but didn't because of the terrible shape it was in. Trundle bed isn't very usable because you can't pull it out the the whole way. Kitchen isn't very well stocked for making meals.TVs didn't work except the main one in living room.

  We really enjoyed the resort. We were there for a family reunion. They offer a lot of amenities and the staff are very friendly. But our unit itself needed some repairs. The deck had dry rot boards. There was a big chunk in one of the boards near the top of the stairs, which was a safety hazard. And the deck needed a new paint job. The living room furniture needed to be cleaned. Some of the mini blinds had missing slats. One of the bathroom sinks had a slow drain. And about half way through our stay the oven timer would randomly go off all by itself, maintenance came out right away and said a part needed to be ordered. So we had to flip the breaker off and on in order to use the oven/stove.

  We had a wonderful time, loved the location. This is the 2nd time we rented this place. We were a bit upset with the cleanliness of the home. We were unable to use the pull out trundle bed as it was filthy. The porch had rotting wood on the steps & porch, the hand rails were very wobbly, if someone needed them for support they may have fallen. This was a safety issue. The beds & couch are quite worn. The condition of the property was not as it was before.

  We have stayed in this rental before. Everyone liked it. It was convenient to everything and very clean. We like that we can bring our dog and that it has Wi-Fi.
  Unfortunately we will not be renting from you anymore. We have bought a camper and staying in a site.
  We have already picked our site for 3 weeks in May/ June. It is just a few sites away from the rental.
  We have enjoyed staying at Lakewood since the 1980’s and hope we will be able to continue for many years.

  Overall we had an awesome experience. Can't ask for a better location - one block off the beach (with a view), close to all the amenities. The bedrooms were small but as advertised. The house has a dishwasher and washer/dryer and the living/dining area is very spacious. The outdoor shower has both hot and cold water which was a pleasant surprise. The only issue we had was not being able to get the trundle bed out - seemed like sand has rendered the wheels virtually useless but we didn't need that bedroom anyway so not a huge deal for us.

  We have stayed at several villa's the past 16 years but this is my favorite!I love this property and have stayed here several years in a row and will continue to do so as long as it is available. Each sleeping area has its own tv for those rainy days and privacy unless the pull out sofa is used.The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils.Spacious deck with table and chairs (I missed the umbrella this year, we went and bought one) I LOVE the outdoor shower! You can see the ocean from the porch and hear it after the campground settles down for the night and early mornings. Right around rhe corner from the coffee shop and water park. Everything is in working order except the door won't securely close. The dead bolt must be locked.Once while sitting on the deck, the wind got it and flung it open...scared the mess out of us all. A minor inconvience for such a wonderful villa and a simple fix. It has 2 tables in the kitchen area. We usually bring a puzzle to work on during rainy periods. This allows us to walk away from the puzzle and still have a table to eat at.Spacious, clean, excellent location!

  We enjoyed our stay at 1617. We were very happy with the rental. I rented it for the size and for allowing a dog. And for having Wi-Fi. We had our 3 granddaughters with us and all 3 are in college and had work to do.
  The only thing we had a problem with was the big sliding door. It didn’t work very well. We will rent 1617 again if we don’t have a camper by then.

  This was a great location and accommodations for our stay. While there are some wear and tear issues that could use some attention, overall 1617 did the job. Glad to have queen beds but no doubt the bedrooms are very tight on space. Living, kitchen and dining was spacious and well equipped. Nice having a washer dryer. Living room furniture is worn and stained, could use some attention there but otherwise ok. We had one electrical issue after a bad storm and property management took care of it right away. We enjoyed the deck, beds were comfy, bathrooms and showers very nice, colors and decor beachy, ample storage and the place was very clean. We would stay here again.

  We had a great time. Loved the cottage. It was close to all the activities and the ocean. I enjoyed my morning walk to the coffee shop,’which was only a football’s field away. The beds were so comfortable! My only complaints are that there should be extra trash bags and toilet paper and we couldn’t figure out how to get the cable to work in any of the rooms besides the front twin room. This really wasn’t an issue though because we weren’t there for cable! Great stay overall!!

  Unit 1617 was amazing. It was extremely hot that week so the ac was on overload im sure. The temp never got below 77* in the unit. We clled maintance, they came out and fixed a problem with the duct work. Also a bad smell in the kitchen that we could never locate the source we called maintance again. It was not resolved during our stay. Regardless, we have found our new vacation home! Spacious, clean, excellent location!

  Loved staying at this house. It is bigger than it looks in photos and nicer as well. Bedrooms are small but that is completely expected and we weren’t in them other than to sleep. Ample storage in each of them. The deck was fabulous. We could even see the water from the deck. Outdoor shower is also a huge bonus. Location is great as it is close to the water, coffee house and pool but yet still in the shade so you don’t burn up as soon as you step outside. Trying to find a date to stay next summer!!
  
  Only negative is the door kept having issues latching. With kids, this can be an issue. But not something I would say is a dealbreaker.

  We had a great time at Lakewood campground. Thus was our first time going to Lakewood and a friend d had talked us in to going. Our rental location was perfect, close to the beach, pool and coffee house. The only complaints we had really was the mattress in the master bedroom was leaning so bad it felt like you were sleeping at an angle with your feet up. My husband found some boxes to put underneath the bed so it atleast felt somewhat level. Our trash was finally picked up the day before we left. We had called the office 2 or 3 times to get our trash picked up since it still had some trash when we initially got to the house so by the end of the week it was really full and smelly. Other than that the house was an ok place to stay. The location of it made it all worth the trip.
