  Overall our family enjoyed our stay at lakewood campground. We were thankful for this rental home as it was large enough for two families. However, for the price of the rental home we did anticipate better quality. Carpet downstairs would turn the kids feet black, trash can in kitchen had no proper closing lid and ants are always an issue. The TV in the main living room was small and was not a smart TV so we were limited to the spectrum cable. The refrigerator and freezer especially we're small for a house to hold so many people. No good outside furniture to enjoy the view. Overall the house served a purpose for our families to stay together at lakewood but for the cost we expected more.

  We always enjoy our vacation at Lakewood. The environment is great all the way from check-in to. Check out ! The putt putt course needs major overhaul and we were disappointed in the property that we stayed in. It is rundown. The carpet is nasty. Lots of repairs needed. it looked like nothing had been updated in the home since it was built!

  We enjoyed our stay at 8010 Buccaneer Bay. It was perfect for our party. At first glance, we did see updates that need to be made (Stains on carpet, Broken Bed frames, Very old sofa upstairs) however, we quickly realized that the house was very clean. We had a minor issue with the televisions and the property management handled it immediately. We enjoyed being on the water and watching the ducks come in each morning from the porch. I would definitely stay at this location again.

  We had a great time! The property is showing it’s age, it needs a good deep cleaning. We did have to call the maintenance staff and they were very quick to respond, very professional and they got the problem resolved. We loved the porch and view of the bay and ocean.

  The stay was great as always.
  The check in procedure was a nightmare this year and really needs to be addressed. It was about 5:30 when we finally got our key to the house after waiting in a very long line outside in the heat.
  The bed in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. It was broke last year and still has a wood block under the leg of the bed. The description says it is a queen bed but it seems to be a double and the head board on the bed is not attached on one side.

  We love Lakewood campground. Have
  Stayed there several times and it’s always been a family friendly location. We normally rent a house to accommodate my larger family. 8010 is in a nice location, beautiful view of the bay. The house itself is very spacious, but in dire need of repairs. Floor areas in kitchen feel as though you could fall through.
  Water leaking from the shower to the ground area where cars are parked.
  Loose boards on steep step area loose and in need of repair. Highly recommend the campground, but not this particular unit is in need of repairs.

  Overall the house and location was perfect for our family. Amazing views of the water and pretty quiet as far as traffic. The size of the house was perfect and the loft area between the bedrooms was great for the kids in the early morning while the rest of the family slept downstairs. We did unfortunately have maintenance make a few appearances to repair broken closet doors and to repair our garbage disposal. And the kitchen table and chairs could use an update. There were also several lights missing bulbs. But those are relatively minor things overall.

  We love Lakewood, we come in October almost every year. The weekends can get crazy with the Halloween stuff, especially where we are located with the speed bump. We understand it’s good for the park. The house is definitely showing it’s age, the carpets, the dining room chairs , (they have no cushions) I feel like maybe the stairs coming up are getting old. We do love coming so truthfully try not to complain to much.

  Pro’s: the house was nice and big, the view was great and the bathrooms were perfect! The location was quiet and we had a side yard to play in as well.
  Con’s: the beds were very uncomfortable, the ice maker was broken and leaked out the freezer all week. There were not proper skillets for cooking we had to buy some. The washer smelled really bad. The house could have been cleaner. The tv remotes didn’t work.

  Weather was fantastic What a beautiful campground. The pool area is clean. Lazy river was awesome. Pool slides were top notch. Flowers planted all over. Restrooms were clean. A very well maintained vacation spot. We decided to go again next year. Good security program in place. We all felt very safe while there. Golf carts were well maintained

  We love the house, we’ve stayed in the 4 bedroom and 5 bedroom several years. Upon arrival we noticed the rugs were stained, so sad that people would treat a home like this. We also noticed popcorn, pills, food, plastic bottle under the beds. Also pulled out the couch upstairs and it was full of mice droppings. The twin beds were fine for kids but for adults you could feel the springs. The refg froze things and the freezer froze water so you couldn’t hardly open it . The garbage disposal which we didn’t use , smelled ! And when we ran it , it didn’t work. The tv remotes which there was plenty but we could not find one to turn the tv on or the volume up. Just curious what the other renters did. We had a vacuum cleaner but the bag was the wrong size. I am sorry to say all of this, we brought our own vacuum and cleaned ourselves, we realize everyone is short handed. We truly loved our stay and the house , it just needs done tlc .
  We were very disappointed with not being able to keep the bikes for our stay. We have always in the past, was only asking for 2. We like riding them.

  We did have an ant problem in this house. It got in one of our cars and was really bad in one of the bedrooms upstairs. There was no food left out. We were careful to put everything in closed bags or in the refrigerator.
