  The rental accommodated my needs. It does need some updating. Some of the furniture is dated along with the window treatments. My main complaint is parking. They have plants in the front so if you park your car you will be in the road and you might get hit or security will make you move . Close to the side of the house is a huge metal box which makes it impossible to pull your car down that side along with a wood deck on the ground. The other side is for a camper and you will have to make friends with them and hope they have room for you to park.

  The Rental was very Clean, very comfortable stay, if there was a negative, it would be how small the lot was, not to mention the leaking water spigot in the back of the house, which was flooding the campers on the right.

  Overall it was a good vacation. Our biggest complaints are 1. the lack of hot water; one person couldn't take a shower without running out of hot water only a few minutes into a shower therefore we had to use the bath houses for showering. The other complaint is lack of parking. Owners have palms planted in front of the unit so it is very difficult parking there without getting stuck with very sharp palm leaves. Campground has a camping spots super close on each side of the unit. We had two vehicles (paid extra for 2nd vehicle) and a golf cart so it was very frustrating parking and getting in/out of vehicles. We had to pull out into the road when loading passenger(s).

  This was a perfect villa for our family and little pup. Location was perfect and the home was comfortable. The air conditioning works great. We did have an issue with one bed where the slats didn’t fit and the mattress couldn’t sit on the frame. We called maintenance and they were there right away and fixed it.

  We have stayed in this rental twice and we always have a great time! The close proximity to the beach and indoor pool can’t be beat, and the property js always very clean. There is plenty of room for our family of 6 and it’s nice to have a kitchen to prepare meals.
  
  The property has a few things that need to be fixed: there’s no latch or lock on the bathroom door, the light out front was blown, and the bed frame in the small front bedroom is sharp and causes several scraped legs over the course of our stay. But these things are minor and would not prevent a repeat stay for us.

  Love camp grounds but this was my first time to Lakewood. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, family oriented. Our Villa was very good, great location. We had a golf cart but still walked to the pool, beach etc.

  Rental experience was great will be returning next year. Only downfall we had was doors and windows unlocked when we arrived, broken blinds on the bedroom door and no blinds on 2 on the bedroom windows with the queen size bed which neglected privacy for changing and such. Televisions also did not work and the rainy days being locked in with screaming kids wanting a movie. The ac would not keep the rental cool during the day it was up to 80 when it was set on 68. Bedroom door to the queen bed did not want to close.

  We enjoyed our stay here, and would stay again. The house is located very close to the beach and the indoor pool. We had 4 adults and 4 children and we all were comfortable here. The beds actually slept pretty good for a vacation rental. The only negative thing I would have to say is the pull out bed should be replace as it was not on the best condition. Also the hot water does not last long but if you spread out showers you should be just fine. Overall a great experience. This was out first time in a vacation rental here. We usually stay in a camper when we go.

  We enjoyed our stay at this Villa! The place was in a great location to all the amenities. My only complaint was that it wasn’t very clean. The front bedroom bathroom had issues. The main shower door was pretty much stuck and hard to move. The smell when we walked in had a fishy smell. Rugs leading into Villa were torn and not kept up. I feel like if they made a few simple changes the place would get all five stars. We do plan on going back next summer. Hopefully we will see some change😍

  Perfect cottage for my immediate family including 5 kids. Very clean, safe, included the things we needed for a great vacation. This property perfect location close to the beach and pool. The Campground provides so many amenities we only left the property for the grocery store and to play golf. Will definitely stay there again. Renting a golf cart is a must!

  Not enough hot water for two people much less eight. Had to use the bath house. No sheets that would fit one of the beds. It appeared to be a camper queen mattress placed on top of a full box spring. No blankets.

  I have been coming to Lakewood since the 60s but always camping. My husband was not coming so we would not be in the motor home so a rental was a good option. I came with my daughter and grandson. The property was clean and each of us had our own bedroom which was great. It was a little dated but overall I was very pleased with our stay and will return in the future if we can’t bring the motor home. There was no working light on the porch or light post which made the front steps a little hazardous at night.

  We are renting again in 2021. Great location adjacent to our campsites. Clean but run-down. Many light bulbs out. It got cold and turned on heater and it started smoking and set off smoke alarm. Please check!

  Great location. Very Clean. Enjoyed the new furniture. AC would not keep up with afternoon heat making it very uncomfortable. Fans were missing this year. WiFi would not work for the second year in a row. Fireworks (that are listed as not allowed) are VERY ANNOYING every night. If these were corrected, this would be a 5 Star all the way.

  Overall stay was fantastic- a respite in a desperate time of need (covid imprisonment). However, it was not without flaws. The wifi advertised was next to non-existent and kicks out whenever it felt like. It was a full camp, but it apparently isn't strong enough to stream anything anyway. This should NOT be considered a feature with as poor as it was. The clerk at Check in was very pleasant and offered to have tech support look at it but this was not a tech support issue. The check-in process is frustrating. We got in late, so we had to check in the following morning but the office is technically outside of camp property so we were unable to take our golf cart to the office, which means getting the vehicle and driving there. It was also difficult to do since we spent so much time standing in line for our pool tickets then had to use them at a certain time. This of course will not always be the case but at this time it was very frustrating. The property mentions POSSIBLE trouble with insects. No, you WILL have ants EVERYWHERE as soon as food is introduced to a surface. They were even inside our sealed bags somehow. Put it all as high as possible and it will take them at least 4 days to find. That's how we survived. Also, get some Tarro and even bring that- could help wipe out their ants for them.
  We are still waiting for our deposit back- I'm hopeful we will get it. As a former housekeeper at a camp, I know how to clean a place, though it was tough with an old broom and no dustpan. But there is a vacuum. The Disney Channel worked on the small TV but not the main one, but we didn't bother fixing it because TV wasn't why we were there and it would have been more hassle than it was worth. The property was a tad on the expensive side, but that was also the resort requiring us rent an 8 person property when we really only needed a 6 person (we had an infant). The property location is one of THE closest to the beach and was great. Despite that, we'll be back!

  Location was great. Interior could use some work, cabinets were all peeling, flooring was also peeling in spots. Very small hot water heater meant spreading out showers over several hours. Tap water was very yellow in color. Coffee pot burner was completely rusted. Oven was not plugged in upon our arrival so we had to pull the drawer out and plug it back in to cook. It was a nice sized unit with an excellent location and was clean upon our arrival.
