  Overall Condition & Décor
  Freshly updated, well maintained, and thoughtfully stocked. The décor is charming with plenty of nice furniture, giving it a cozy feel — though it can feel crowded.
  
  Space & Comfort
  While listed to sleep four, I think it’s best for two. The bedroom bed seemed like a double and felt small for two adults. The pull-out couch was comfortable for sleeping. The kitchen table seats four, but only two chairs are easily accessible without moving it, and there’s little room to do so.
  
  Outdoor Space
  The deck overlooking Crater Lake was amazing, with a gate perfect for pets. Unfortunately, rain and tall grass (mid-calf in some spots) kept us from enjoying the patio. The lake area was freshly cut when we arrived. Mosquitos were plentiful outside, but the villa was completely bug-free inside.
  
  Amenities & Ease of Use
  The TV took some figuring out — tip: press the star button on the remote to reach the menu and sign in to the internet. The villa isn’t close to the beach or pools, so we rented a golf cart for $300.
  
  Cost & Value
  Our stay (Sun 4 PM–Thu 10 AM, mid-August) cost over $1,500 plus $300 for the cart — about $600/day for just three full days, more than some beachfront resorts. Guests must also clean before checkout: sweep/vacuum, wash and put away dishes, wipe surfaces, empty the fridge, take out trash, strip beds, and bag linens to get the deposit back.
  
  Final Thoughts
  I visit Lakewood yearly and have stayed in many villas. This one was beautifully decorated but small inside/single wide. The only drawback for me - the high price tag and having to clean.
