  Everything was perfect other than Ian. We had to pack up quickly and leave a day early. We loved the time we got to spend there. I pray the property faired well through the hurricane without damage. We would love to come back.

  Lakewood was wonderful as always. The property itself was not super clean and run down. There were also quite a few bugs. It was super disappointing arriving to find out there was not a grill provided as it said on the property listing.

  We attended the American Heart Association Beach Ride. This is the second year staying at 2869 Carter Lake. We loved the place for the second time. We plan to stay again if the dates we need are available in 2021. We rent 4 adjacent camp sites for other campers and horse. Walking distance to our fellow campers. The only thing that wasn't plesent was awaking to a water bug crawling across my arm one night. But, Water bugs are numberous at the beach. For some reason the management company wouldn't let us have any extra towels this year. The past three year they gave us extra towels without question. Oh well

  We have stayed with LCR at Lakewood for 17 years now. If anything does not meet your expectations, one call to the office will have it taken care of. They are a great group It's just ideal for kids. You never have to leave the campground other than for maybe groceries.

  The unit was not very clean. I covered the couch with a blanket because it was too dirty looking. We could not use the back deck due to loose boards and railings....very dangy
