  Over two decades of Lakewood vacations and more to come, this one was great as usual. My main goal here is to express my gratitude to the staff in the rental office, Mary and Morgan worked with me though some uncertainties with the weather (Helene). We could not return to our home due to extensive damage and they worked closely with me to extend my stay in spite of tech difficulties also due to (Helene). Those ladies were awesome and went "above and beyond:. We will most likely return soon as we are somewhat displaced from our home and will be for some time as repairs must be made. You may want to redact the following if you choose to post this to website: any idea how those promo codes work? It would be handy if we head back your way.

  Looked cute until we arrive. Outside of home very dirty. Inside couch was nasty stained. Bathroom toilet seats had mold growing on them. Provided with wool type blankets which were covered in hair gobs. Towels had long black hairs on them. While place felt dirty. Blinds cheap plastic and were sagging so bad can’t close. Doors very difficult to lock and unlock. Take it off the rental list or update and get rid of the laundry service! And get new bedding! Love love love the campground!

  My family and I have been coming to Lakewood for about 15 years. We love the resort, the staff and all the amenities. This year we were a bit disappointed in the cleanliness (lack there of)of the cabin when we arrived. It wasn’t horrible but the floors and shower were dirty. The tv was sitting on a piece of cardboard atop an end table. It was cozy and we made it out home for 11 days but I don’t think we will be renting this cabin again.

  We brought our Granddaughters to Lakewood for the Halloween experience. We stayed in a property from LCR. We were very satisfied with the clean rental and the area in which it was located. We enjoyed the weekend as much as our Granddaughters did. We were very impressed with the activities planned for the weekend. We already plan to return next Halloween.

  When we arrived the young man at the front desk sent us to the brick building to get our keys not thinking about the time of day. After finding out the office was closed I went back to main building where he told me I needed to go to the guard shack for my keys. This was a little irritating because my parents had been on the road for some time and needed to rest. After we figured out where the keys were we found the house easily. The front door was jammed and hard to get open. After these few bumps getting the rest of the vacation went smoothly. It would have been nice if there was a TV in the bedroom and not just the living room.

  Going to Lakewood every summer is a therapy for our two sons my husband and me. Here we feel more than welcome, a bunch of great people look forward to our coming every summer. We have been coming for about ten years all the way from France where we live except for the two summers when the Covid pandemic kept us away from our favorite place.

  Great campground, our place was very dated and used. Which is fine but the deck was on its last leg. No outside covering. Brought a canopy but was told we had to take it down. I even looked on their rule sheet and there was nothing about that on there rules. Even the Security guard said he does not understand why I have to take it down he said he just got a call?!?!? He was very nice about the whole thing. The campground itself is wonderful! We will definitely be coming back just just in a different villa. It was fine we just need a little bigger place and a place with a covered deck for sure. Thank you Lakewood for a great family vacation.
